WOMEN BOWLERS
INTERNATIONAL CONTEST RULES DEMAND DECORUM (Reed. Jtine 30, noon.) LONDON, June 29. Seventy women, aged from 20 years to 70 years, representing Britain's 10,000 women bowlers, contested the English, Scottish and Welsh international at Glasgow, in which they conformed to rules prohibiting smoking on the green, playing bareheaded, and insisting that dresses must be reasonably long and shadow proof, not silk, and that (players must kneel when measuring woods in order to avoid an unseemly disturbance of their skirts.
