This the butcher gave him, [thereupon he left the shop. ; The butcher followed him to an hotel bar, but Larkin denied that he aad the ten shilling note. |.This was the story told by the police. . This morning when Larkin appeared ft the Police Court on summons and Sledded guilty to a charge of stealing [en shillings, the property of R. and BT. Hellaby, Limited, the police said (hat Larkin had been in trouble before and the art of “ringing the Changes” was one of his old tricks, ji The Magistrate, Mr. W. R. McKean, imposed a fine of £5 in default one nonth in gaol.
