BERMAN ART TREASURES MUNICH, June .11. A sale of German art .treasures here to-day .yielded u total of only £23,000. A Gorman firm, bought BotriceUi’s painting entitled Ihe “Nativity of Christ;, ” for £IO.OO. Many famous pictures, including two Raeburns, were no! sold. Germany has been driven to sell her national art treasures to obtain foreign currency. It was’hoped that •sufficient foreign credits would be obtained during a series of sales lo relievo the urgent difficulties ot tho Minister for Economics, Dr. Sdiuchl.
