DECREASE IN BIRTHS
DUNEDIN FIGURES STATISTICS FOR MAY (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, last night. A decrease in births during the past month, as compared with May of 1 D..(>. is revealed in the vital statistics tor Dunedin, the figures being lid and 120 respectively. There were also 13 fewer deaths, but marriages showed an increase of four, 55 having been registered last month as against 51 in May last year. The figures for May, 1937, with those for the same month of 1031' in parentheses, are as follows: Births, HO (120); deaths, 71 (S-t); marriages, ,55 (51).
