111 beautiful sunshine, ami ideal weather conditions in striking contrast to the unfavourable weather conditions prevailing last year, the South African war veterans attended the Voreeniging peace day church parade at. Holy Trinity Church yesterday morning, there being a good muster of veterans, although the "casualty" list, during the past 12 months had been very heavy. Falling in at .Hannah's corner, headed by tile W.F.'.C.M.B. Hand, and followed by the Gisborne Fire Brigade, the veterans marched to the church. The lessons were read by the Revs. 1!. C. Aires and T. A. Moresby.

The preacher, Canon A. F. Hall, took his text from the first verse of the twenty-first chapter of the [{evolutions of St. John the Divine, "and there was no more sea." The parade comprised 21 South African veterans. 25 bandsmen, and 20 lire brigadesmen.
