The litigation between Walter Smart, pawnbroker, of Wellington, and Arthur Edmond Preston, junior, over an unnamed Captain Bunsby gelding sold to the plaintiff by the defendant was continued in the Supreme Court yesterday before Mr. Justice Smith. ' Decision was reserved. TROTS POSTPONED CANTERBURY PARK MEETING (Per Press Association.) CIIRISTCIIUHCH, last night. The Canterbury Park Trotting Club's winter meeting, which was to have been belli to-morrow, has been postponed until the following Saturday because the Addington track is not considered fit for racing. As soon as the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's Easter meeting ended, the grounds committee decided to recondition the track and replace the soil on a large portion of the course. Thousands of loads of soil were deposited on the course, and following the recent wet weather the club officials decided against racing to-morrow.
