A gratified patron of the Post and Telegraph Department discovered this morning, for the first time, that it is now possible, by use of the inland air mails, to secure exceptionally speedy delivery of packets from other parts of the,North Island. Yesterday afternoon lie realised that his supply of a particular Government form was short, and probably inadequate to the anticipated demand to-day. Telegraphing to Wellington at 3.30 p.m., he was, able to receive the packet of forms ho needed [by 10 a.m. to-day, the packet) having .travelled to Napier overnight, and on to Gisborne by the north-bound morning plane. Mail posted at Wellington up to 5 p.m. daily catches an evening dispatch for Napier by fast goods train.
