CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR
SUB-UNION FORMED A combined rally of the four Christian endeavour sbeibtiesi in this district was held at the Church of Christ, Roebuck road, on Thursday evening, Pastor L. E. fjsthar presided. The societies represented were ns follows: Bright Street Methodist, Mangapapa Methodist, Baptist, and Church of Christ.
During the evening a solo was rendered by Mrs. Usmar, and a message was given by Mr. H. Halliwoll. It was decided to form a sub-union, and the following officers were elected: President, the Rev. P. E. Leadley, vicepresident, the Rev. E. W. Batts and Pastor L. R. Usmar; secretary-trea-surer, Mrs. Turley; committee, Misses Carlislo and File, and Messrs. Denton Lindsay and Colin Stichbury. The newly-formed executivo is to meet at an early date and arrangements will bo made for further combined activities. Tt is hoped that several now socioties will bo sponsored during the year.
