While cycling to her home in Tviy road, Waihi Plains, after leaving hei work in an office; in Waihi, Miss Edna Menzies, aged 23, was knocked off her bicycle by an unknown man. Miss Menzies was followed and passed by a man on a cycle. As she was Hearing the turnoff leading to her home she noticed the man apparently making some adjustment. to his machine on the side of the road. As she was passing him she was pushed off her bicycle. Miss Menzies screamed and her assailant, whom she was unable to identify, made off. Miss Menzies suffered abrasions to the face and body in the fall and is also suffering! severely from shock.
