(Herald Correspondent.) There is still a great deal of work to be done on the newly-formed Makarika golf links, but two fairways have been completed, having had the rushes cleaned up. Mrs. R. 11. Wicksteed was a recent Coast visitor to Gisborne.—Miss Joan Evans has been the guest of her father, Mr. 11. D. Evans, Waingakia station, Aorangi. —The Rev. A. R. H. and Mrs. Morris have returned to Waipiro Bay after a few days spent in Gisborne. —- Miss Roddick, Gisborne, is the guest ol Mrs. It. 12. Williams, “Ngamoc,” Ruatoria.
