Plav in the Smith Rose Bowl compe tition'was continued yesterday afternoon at Alexandra Park, Wairoa. Waiau drew with Rovers in a thrilling .rame. In the first halt aWiau was loading and in the second spell Rovers played faster and evened up the score. The High School A team proved too strong for Redwing in a fast and interesting game. The results were :
A grade.—Waiau drew with Rovers. S all, referee Miss K. Aldridge; High .School A 0 beat Redwing b, referee Miss 11. Stothers.
B grade-High School 25 lost to High School I, 7, referee Miss N. Matson; A'airoa Primary 7 beat Convent Primary 1, referee Miss K. Aldridge. Meeting of Executive At the meeting of the executive of the Wairoa Basketball Association, (here were present Mrs. M. B. Svenseh..president ; Miss V. Edser, High School,-Miss I'. Le Gros, Redwing. Miss K. Aldridge, Wanderers, and Miss M. Prior.
Letters from Otane. Dannevirkc, Napier, Poverty Bay, Manawatn and Hastings were read regretting their inability to attend the tournament which was to have been held on June 9 at Wairoa. It was decided to advise the associations that the Wairoa association would postpone the tournament and try to hold it in September or October, when it was hoped the other centres would lie aide to participate.
It was decided that a donation of 10s 6d should be made to the King ("{Gorge V memorial fund. A vote of thanks to the Rev. Father Doherty for a donation of £1 was carried.
