SPRINGBOKS' MATCHES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. The executive of the New Zealand Rugby Union .met to-night and decided to extend the date tor' provisional nominations for the inter-island and New Zealand trial matches to June 15. The Otago University Football Club's

request for ;i New Zealand University match with the Springboks, which was referred from the lion. W. E. Parry to the executive, was received without com incut. As the request of the Otahuhu Railway Workshops for permission to invite an Australian workshops team to tour New Zealand involved a matter of policy, it was referred to the New Zealand council. Acknowledging a welcome from the Rugby Union, Mr. C. Wilford Brown, manager of the visiting English soccer team, replied: "We hope to emulate in this country your doings in the Old Land.''
