NEW "PEACE OFFENSIVE"
GERMAN MOVE EXPECTED CORONATION AFTERMATH IMPRESSED BY UNITY (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Preso Assn.) (Reed. May 27, 2.10 p.m.) 'LONDON, May 26. A new German "peace offensive" is expected in London, according to the diplomatic correspondent of the Manchester Guardian, who points out that the German comment on the Coronation has been demonstratively cordial and that the German press is now almost completely free from its customary Anglophobia. Even the demand' for colonies is being put in the background. The correspondent adds that the Coronation certainly seems to have impressed Field Marshal von Blomberg and other German observers, some of whom are interpreting it as a display of British unity.
It is believed in London that the German expressions of respect and friendliness for Britain will increase.
