DISAPPOINTMENT FELT
NO LONDON FAREWELL
DOM INI ON CONTING ENT
(Reed. May 27. 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 26. The. New Zealand Coronation contingent is leaving for home on Thursday, but a large crowd of their countrymen are disappointed because there wijl he no chance of fnrewelling the contingent members. If originally was arranged that the troops would entrain at Liverpool street at 3.30 p.m. for the Royal Albert docks whore- they are to board the Rangiliki. Tho New Zealand Office sent out a circular advising New Zealanders resident in London and then the War Ofliee decided at the last minute owing, it is stated, to the baggage transport problem, that the troops would go direct from Pirbrighf to (he docks, thus resulting in the New Zealand Office having to issue a circular cancelling the previous one.
The troops were upset, several calling at their office to express disappointment. A few of the contingent, including Major N. McD. Weir, are remaining for a short holiday.
