MINERS ON STRIKE
BRITISH COLUMBIA DISPUTE OVER UNIONISM "ALIEN AGITATORS" (Eloc. Tel. Copyright—United Pross Assn.) (Reed. May 27, 2.15 ,p.m.) VANCOUVER, May 26. The Lewis labour organisation has penetrated British Columbia where GOO men are on strike at two gold mines. The strikers are demanding the recognition of the Lewis union or an increase in wages. The mines were closed with the official statement- that the owners would not tolerate alien agitators. Waterfront workers at seven British Columbia ports are calling a meeting to discuss protection "against foreign attempts to exploit, the. workers.''
