Reference to the proposed establishment of an aerodrome in Wairoa was made by the chairman. Cr. A. (.!. Nolan, at yesterday's meeting of the Wairoa County Council. "The Wairoa Borough Council and this council, jointly, havi had the matter under consideration during the year, but so far no definite provision has been made for establishment of an airport." he said. "A site on the Te Rntn block on Rnalaniwlia road has been selected, but the area has since been found unsuitable and an endeavour is being made to locate a more suitable site. If one can be .secured at a reasonable cost and the Government can be induced to bear the major portion of the cost of preparing the landing ground, no doubt the two local bodies will proceed with the proposal."
