.Sergeant R. I!. Miller, who has been stationed for six years at Opotiki, has 'been transferred to Parnell to replace Sergeant McAllister, retired.
Mr. M. T. !!. Hall was congratulated on liis appointment to the local Mortgage Adjustment Commission at to-day's meeting of the Cool; County Council.
Mr. Edward T. Gardner, son of Mr and Mrs. 11. 15. Gardner, has been ap pointed to a position in the dust ice Do partment in Napier.
At the annual meeting of the Cools County Council 10-day, Or. Chas. Matthews was re-elected chairman, on Hie motion of Or. J. Tomblcsdn, seconded by Or. J. E. Benson.
