CONCESSIONS IN BILL PROFIT PERIOD EXTENDED GRADUATION AMENDED (Eloc, Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) [Reed. May 25, 3 p.m.) "LONDON, .May 24. The Finance Bill issued to-day contains substantial modifications of the national defence contribution and brings 1936 into the years on which the profits standard is based.
The profits taxpayers will be given the choice of taking as their profits basis the average profits of anv three out of the four years 1935, 193*4. 1935 ami 1936. or anv' two out of the years 1933. 1934 and '.1935.
Relief is given where the capital is small or the business is accompanied by exceptional risks. The system under which the charge is graduated is altered. The concessions; jnay diminish the first- yields, but will not modify the ultimate value of the tax.
