Last Thursday night the Porourungi circle gave a. dance in the Tawhiwhirangi Memorial Hall, Tikitiki, the object, being In raise funds for food supplies for the lukuluku workers who are busily engaged on the weaving, or tukutukii work, for the new Porourangi meeting-house at Wai-o-matai ini. The dance was most, successful, and the amount, cleared was £2l. Owing to the absence of Mr. 3. Coats, no pictures were held, so Mrs. P. 'Manual, Mrs. Te Kawa and Mrs. D. Dabbing!on hastily arranged (I (lance in the Tawhiwhirangi Memorial Hall in aid of the football teams. City ami Awnnui. A very enjoyable evening was spent and great credit, was due to tin 1 ladies who arranged the dance so well al such short notice. A. profit of £S was made, this being divided between the two teams.
Miss North, who is visting Tikitiki, is ;i guesl at the Waiapu Hotel. —Miss Squires, child welfare officer, has been visiting Tikitiki.—Mr. Jolicoc is visiting the Coast. —Miss Archibald Mis returned to Tikitiki after visiting' her parents in Auckland. —Mr. and Mrs. C. Walker and I'aniilv, who have boot) the guests of Mrs. T. Rush, have re turned to Cape [J una way.—-'Miss i! Mondav dawned with a light frost and a day of glorious sunshine.
.Mrs. Pan Babbingtou, Whnjsawhitira, has been most enterprising, having installed electric lighting at her home.
