CAME SEEKING JOB
PLEA BY STOWAWAY ...AIJCKLAND £lO FINE (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. "1 came over to get a job," said George David MacPiierson, aged 24, who admitted to Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in the Police Court to-day that he had stowed away in the liner Monterey from Sydney. Senior-Sergeant Flanagan said that MacPherson had boarded the Monterey at Sydney on Friday 'and had stowed away in the crew's quarters. He was discovered the following day. A fine of £lO was imposed, in default one mouth's imprisonment.
