SOUTH ISLAND ACTIVITY ORGANISING WORK (Special to the Herald.) DUNEDIN, this day. Since March 1 the organisation in the interests of the. National Party has been proceeding steadily in Otago and Southland and in Oamaru. District committees have been established at Oamaru, Windsor, Hampden, Palmerston, and Waikouaiti.

Considerable activity is being shown in the Mataura electorate, where committees have been formed at Gore, Mataura, Wyndham and Tapanui. The Clutha electorate has a strong organisation which has the advantage of ■having a sitting member of Parliament in the person of Mr. J. Eoy.

The party organiser, Mr. L. Colbourne, has been devoting much time to the country electorates, and is at present attending a series of meetings arranged in the Southland districts. These will culminate in a rally of all southern electorates at, Invercargill on May 4.

The leader of the party, the Hon. A. Hamilton, will address a meeting of all members of Dunedin committees and supporters in Dunedin this evening, and at a later date' a further meeting will be addressed by Mr. S. G. Holland, M.P.
