LONDON WOOi- SALES (Reed. May 1, 3 p.m.) LONDON, April 30. At the wool sales. 8781 bales were offered including 4534 from New Zealand. 6993 being sold. There was a ■mod selection and an active demand lor erossbreds, especially from the borne trade at full rales. Merinos were quieter and were largely withdrawn. New Zealand lots sold as fallows:— Scoured Merinos, F'nnawai. top price. 33k1. average 33J,d ; greasy crossbred. Braxton, top price, I9d, average 17J,d.
