HOPES OF SETTLEMENT

RUGBY", April 28. Hopes for a settlement in the London omnibusmen's dispute on the subject of a 7£ hours working day are considered to have improved last night after discussions in which both sides were brought together by invitation of the .Minister of Labour, Mr. Ernest Brown.
Newspapers state that the Minister suggested a public inquiry into all the circumstances of the dispute.
