Negotiations having as their object the bringing into being of railway concessions for public servants, are proceeding, according to the Public Service Jem nnl, and it is hoped to launch tiro scheme on August 1. As the scheme stands al present, passes would be issued to officer., on annual leave for periods oi up to three, 'weeks. The Public Service Association is required to make a goodwill pay mant of JJIOQO and to find tCCO participants, each of whom contracts a liability of 7s a month for three years. '1 his payment will entitle the contributor to a first-class pass over all New Zealand lines for the certificated period of annual leave for a period not exceeding three weeks, and if lie is married it, will include his wife and children under 16 who are still attending school
