Two mM GUILTY I VERDICT OF THE .U’RY (Par tie'Si Association.)' AUCKLAND, this day. After a retirement. for one hour, the jury returned a verdict of. guilty on all counts in. the Supreme Court in the case in which Clement Robert Lawson and George .Frederick Murphy were charged With breaking and entering benight the. Farmers’ Trading Company s shop at Polceno with intent to commit a crime and with having hcTuse-bVeakmg Instruments in their poSscSsiofi. Murphy was also charged with having gelignite iii his jfOsfifesSiori. Tlje defence was that the accused had called at the store for the legitimate purpose of securing petrol. The accused.?, counsel, Air. J. .1. Sullivan, said that Lawson was weaving rubber gloves for driving, and Murphy had put on a pair as a protection against acid when battery trouble was experienced. Th‘e accused were remanded for sentence. , V.
