BARRAGES OF BALLOONS
LONDON’S AIR DEFENCE CONSTRUCTION PLANS (British Official Wireless.) Reed 9.30 a.m. ' RUGBY, Feb. 12. It is announced that plans have been made by the Air Ministry for the manufacture, at the Royal airship works, Cardington, near Bedford, of a certain number of balloons for use i the balloon barrages which form part of the air defence of London. Since the construction of airships was discontinued at Cardington, the establishment there has been maintained on a skeleton basis.
