MR. J. M. REEDY WELL UP

The well-known East Coast ownct, Mr. J. M. Reedy, whose chief representative of late has been the successful Pakanui, stands second in the list of winning owners for thcTfawke's BayPoverty Bay district for the first half of the current racing year. Mainly through the successes of Pakanui, Mr. Reedy won £775 in stakes for the half-year, his returns only being passed by those oi Mr. \\. Henderson, who secured £IO9O in stakes.

Among the other winning owners well known in Gisborne are Mrs. A. Pittar, £435, Mr. A. B. Williams, £l4O, and Mr. E. Loisel, who secured £l4O also. In the winning trainers' list .for the half-year, H. S. Greene, secured first place with £1285 in stakes; W. C. Griffiths has second position with £IO9O, and J. 11. Jefferd third with £IO2O. His association with Pakanui has given J. Clements a position well up in the list, with stake winnings of £B4O from Mr. Pveedy'.s horse and other charges. Tiger Gain has been the most successful runner registered with" the Hawke's. Bay-Poverty Bay committee, having won £770 in stakes during the six, months of tho racing year now completed. Pakanui stands, second with £730, and Mata Hari, another Poverty Bay horse, shares third place in the list with Peter Beckford. '
