RESTOR ATION OPPOSED SYDNEY, Feb. 1. "Feeling' is strong in South Africa against return of former C-orman colonies," sold Mr. H. E. Verdon, of Durban, on ills arrival in Sydney by the Tudor yesterday.
"Our defence system is .steadily Slowing, and interest lias been stimu-
lated in" our youth by an organisation known as the Service Battalion," Mr. Verdon added.
The .Service Battalion, ho explained, consist oil of unemployed youths who wore given :t shilling a day and their keep. They were drilled and trained ns in ;t military camp.
