Bowon, who was in Hie chair in tlio absence of the president. Mr. J. K. Benson, said tlmt there was no one hotter or more favourably known in the district than the late Mr. Scott, who had taken an uetive part m the affairs of the union and any matters for the good of the district. He was n loss to the district., Mr. Bowen added.
