The driver lost con-' tot of the vehicle, which mounted thf-- : footpat.li opposite the drapery premises of Mr. 0. F. Smith and came to rest only after it had shattered three valuable: plate-glass windows. The youths wera| unhurt, but two Foxton girls who were* on«the footpath had narrow escapes..! lacerations of the lespr.
