WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

ORMOND MEETING

In lieu of the annual picnic, a meeting was held by the Ormond Women’s Institute on I'ucsday. The institute song was sung, and the compliments of the season were extended to members by the president, Mrs. D. J. Gumming, which were heartily reciprocated. A fair amount of (business was discussed and several helpful suggestions received. It was decided to obtain books for the library to the value of £2. The forthcoming show was discussed at length, and no effort is being spared to make this function a success.

A dainty afternoon lea was served by Mesdames Lovelock, T. R. Jones, Nickerson. Buscke and D. Jones. The singing of the. National Anthem brought a pleasant afternoon to a close.
