OVER 49,000 TOTAL DECREASE DURING- MONTH ( Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, tin’s day. The Minister of Labour, the Hon. H. Ti Armstrong, announced yesterday that on September 26, the total number of males wholly or partly dependent on the employment promotion fund was 40,419. The following table compares the position as at August 29, 1936, and at September 26. 1936:
The decrease during the four-weekly period was 1428. A comparison between the figures for September 26, 1936, and for September 28, 1935, shows a reduction of 10.926.
