SURPRISE LEGACIES
WIDOW OF BREWER RELIGIOUS BODIES ' (Heed. Oct. 3, 2.50 p.m.) LONDON; Oct. 7. The sum of £200.000 has been bequeathed between the Salvation Army and the Church Army by Mrs. Annie Smith, of Kensington, aged 90 years, the widow of the millionaire brewer and distiller. Both organisations were taken by surprise and neither is able to trace any association with her in their work.
