Rotdfua had its first visit on Monday from the Walrus amphibian flyingboat attached to H.M.S. Achilles. The machine was piloted by Lieutenant T. P. Coode, who had with him two naval aircraftsmen, and Flying-Officer T. Lester, from Hobsonville Air Base.
