COMMON GAMING HOUSES
OFFENCES ADMITTED BLENHEIM COURT FINES • (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. Pines of £2o and £ls respectively were imposed in the Magistrate's Court, this morning on Robert Ferris, a hairdresser, and Ernest Francis Rudd, a confectioner, both of Blenheim, on charges of using premises as common gaming houses.
The prosecutions were the result of a police raid on Saturday, when betting material was discovered. Both defendants admitted carrying on business as bookmakers.
