AIR EXPERT'S VISIT
CABINET APPRECIATION REPORT AWAITED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night, Air. E. G. L. Bertram, Deputy-Direc-tor of Civil Aviation to the British Air Ministry, leaves Auckland by the Aorangi on Tuesday on bis return to England. lie is now: visiting relatives at the Bay of Islands. Discussing) Mr. Bertram s visit in an interview (bis evening, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Ifon. M. ,T. Savage, expressed the opinion that nothing but good would come of it, Air. Bertram had taken part- in the discussions on future commercial air services over the Tasman and the Pacific, hut the recommendations which developed iroin those discussions were still confidential. In addition, Mr. Bertram had conferred with the New Zealand authorities on all points regarding the expansion of the internal air services in the Dominion. His report in that direction would, doubtless, be available to the Government in the near future. Air. Savage stated that if Mr. Bertram left by the Aorangi he would he travelling) in company \yitli the Minister of Finance, the lion. W. Nash, and advantage would probably be taken of that to continue discussions on various aspects of the Empire air mail and commercial aviation policy.
