“Generally speaking. South Australians seem to know very little about New Zealand,” said Mr. G. .16. Bennett, of Wanganui, one of the party of New Zealand farmers who made a millenary tour of goodwill to South Australia, and who returned with the opinion that miieli could he done in that, part of Australia to ‘'boost” New Zealand.
“In a hack part of South Australia—and not so very far from Adelaide—we were actually asked if we came all (lie wav from New Zealand by car.” said Hr. Pennett. “Another, amazing thing caused us not a little amusement." he continued, saying that on a station platform a group of tourists overheard the conversation of two men who displayed great interest in the party. “What we heard was to the effect that they considered it remarkable that we were white and not black or brown like the natives. Their remarks were much enjoyed,” he concluded.
