SURFACES OF ROADS EXPERIMENTS TN BRITAIN (British Official Wiroless.) Reed. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, Oct. 5. More than 60 experiments have been commenced by the roads department of the Ministry of Transport, under the guidance of a technical committee, with the object of finding the host materials for the construction and' surface treatment of roads. These experiments relate to the determination of the best colour for road surfaces from the point of view of night driving, to .the durability of various forms of top dressing, and to the problem of skidding.
