Auckland. —Oct. 6: Arrived, Lindenbank, from Nauru, at C. 43 a.m. Sailed, Poolta, for Greymouth, at 12.30 a.m. A Wbangarei car owner parked his car in Water Street recently and went away to do some business. When he re- ) turned the vehicle was missing, and it began to appear ns if a car thief had been at work. Another car was parked close by, and investigations which were immediately commenced revealed 1 that the missing car was in a paint shop ■ ready to receive a new coat. Actually, instructions had been left by the owner of the other car for it to he taken to be painted, and, by accident, the wrong car haiid been taken.
