Louis Arico, harbor ami Court- jester to such celebrites as the former Mayor of New York, Mr. dimmy Walker, ami the former Governor, Mr. A 1 Smith, died to-day in hospital, aged 1 d 9. William Kenny, a wealthy American contractor. summoned him 3CCO miles to London in September, 1929, to trim Iris wisp of grey hair.
Arico achieved international lame when, in answer to Mr. Kenny’s summons, he embarked in the Leviathan for England. During tlie voyage a controversy arose ns to whether an alien haircutler would ho allowed by (lie British authorities to perform a task which was, by implication, above the heads of native artists :
