ATTEMPT TO MURDER
CHARGE AGAINST MAORI QUARREL OF BROTHERS WIFE OF ONE INVOLVED (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. As a. result of what was alleged to have been a domestic dispute between two brothers and the wife of one of them, Matthew Hill, aged 51 years, a- Maori, was charged with attempting to murder Alice Hill. He was remanded till October 14. Bail at £2OO was allowed. It was alleged that a rifle was fired in the house and a bullet penetrated a door and went out through the roof. No one was injured.
