The Daily Telegraph’s Manchester correspondent pays that manufacturers are concerned owing to the substantial Umpire orders for Coronation flags placed with Japanese instead of with .British makers. The representative of one firm said that Japanese Union Jacks were selling in Soutlr Africa below the English costof production, The idea of British children celebrating the Coronation by waving Japanese flags was distasteful. 'Manchester has already shipped her first consignments of Coronation flags to the Dominion.
