'"Light to strong north-westerly breezes wore reported. The barometer ha<l commenced a hilling motoment. Temperatures at 9 o'clock were: Auckland 53 degrees. Tauranga, East l ape. and Wellington 55. Opotiki 55. Gisborne 55. ami Napier 59. Hough seas were reported at Cape Campbell and Castlepoint; elsewhere moderate or smooth. General inference.—A depression is crossing the Dominion to-day, but a secondary is following if across the Tasman Sea. An anticyclone, covers eastern Australia. Forecast. -Moderate to fresh westerly winds. Weather mainly fair to cloudy, hut scattered rains tit times. Setts slight to moderate.
