The Prime Minister, Mr. Lyons, informed Mr. Nairn in the J louse of Representatives to-day that (lie Commonwealth had paid 84271 as the cost, o! a visit to London by Sir Isaac Isaacs to present himself to the King on his retirement from the office of KlovernorGeneral. “The visit was made at the instance ot the Government,” said Mr. Lyons. “An appointment to the office of GovernorGeneral is made personally by Hie King, and the holder of this ofiiee reports to His Majesty on retirement.
