Only two horses finished the steeplechase without mishap, Friendly Boy and Kinkle completing the course palely. Golden England and Valpcen were ridden over the last round, and in an exciting finish Golden England just beat Valpcen lor third place. Both, substitute riders were accorded an ovation. Green Park fell on the second cireuit and broke its neck. Campbell, the rider of Valpcen. dislocated bis shoulder, and Sullivan, rider ol Moree, broke a small bone in bis shoulder.
