THEFT OF TWO BOOKS
MXSSIONER’S ROOM-MATE GAOL FOE THREE MONTHS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A labourer. Ignatius Patrick Cormick, aged 45 years., appeared for sentence in the Police Court this morning on a charge of stealing two books valued at. 10s, the property of Arthur Kingi, on September 25. Oorniick was also charged with failing to comply with the terms and conditions of bis release on probation at Wellington on June 20. The police said that Cormick stole the hooks from a room which he had shared with a missionary. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., imposed a sentence of three months’ imprisonment on the theft charge and convicted and discharged the accused on the second charge.
