NAVY'S HUMAN TOUCH
STOKEU SENT TO SICK WIFE LONDON, Sept. 4. The navy lias a human touch. Stoker Wheeler sailed from Portsmouth yesterday aboard the cruiser Dunne for the China station. His wife was at the dockyard to say good-bye. When the Danae was off Npithend, H.M.S. Nelson sigiwlled that Wheeler was to return to shore immediately. The Danae stopped. Tlte Nclsoik's speedboat raced alongside. Within 1() minutes Wheeler was on his way hack. Then he learned that his wile was dangerously ili and that lie had been given leave 'to be at. her bedside. When she recovers, Wheeler will rejoin the Danae on the China station.
