DERAILMENT AT EVANSDALE.—The first express from Christchurch to Dunedin last Wednesday was derailed at Evansdale. 20 miles north of Dunedin. This photograph shows what a lucky escape the passengers had when the engine left the rails and buried itself in the side of the cutting.
