BETTER THAN AUSTRALIAN
N.Z. CHILLED BEEF EXPERIENCE IN LONDON (Reed. Oct. 3, noon.) CANBERRA, Oct. 3. Although the Commonwealth Government, according to the Commonwealth veterinary officer in London, Mr. H. Tinney, is actively extending the policy of shipping chilled instead of frozen beef to London, the quality remains lower than that of some competitors’ meat. Mr. Tinney says that undue optimism is not warranted when the results achieved by the Commonwealth are compared with those obtained by Now Zealand exporters. He describes Australian beef ‘hs “quite nice,’’ and New Zealand beef as excellent.
