The Vienna correspondent of The Times says a message from Salonika states t-lia't Mr. Victor Smith, who made a forced landing in his Miles Sparrowhawk at Skoplje, in Yugoslavia, on the first day of the air race to Johannesburg aiid had to withdraw, took off to return to London and crashed near the village of Tugari, He suffered minor injuries. The machine was badly damaged.
